Pixie Dust Challenge and Release Day

We have a busy day at Pixie Dust Studios today as we have a new release and also a new challenge up and running today.

Our new release which is now available in the shop Here now is the Winter collection. A gorgeous release of Winter and Christmas inspired images to get you started early with all those Christmas cards.

We also have this week's challenge up and running and this week it is a real easy one as the theme is "anything goes" the only stipulation is that you must use a Pixie Dust image somewhere on your card or project. If you don't have any please do pop on over to the shop Here where you can feast your eyes on a huge range of gorgeous digi images which you can purchase and download straight to your computer.

I have chosen to use the super cute Socket the Reindeer from the new collection on my card for the challenge this week. The papers are all from a Nitwit designs download and the sketch that I have followed is the current one at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Have fun.

Well I won't be around for a couple of weeks as we are heading off this afternoon for a couple of weeks in the sun in Spain (well actually Spain and France in my case, as I am travelling to France for a few days next week so see my sister and brother in law's new home there. They only moved just over a week ago and I can't wait to see their new place.

Our theme this week is Lets Cool Down and we are looking for Christmas or Winter themed cards. I have used the gorgeous
Popsicle's Pad from the newly released Playpen Pets collection and he is just perfect for a wintery card. The papers are all from a NitWits designs download.

The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Tuesday Morning Sketches

I hope that you have some fun with this challenge.

Pixie Dust Challenge #77 - Homemade Sweet Homemade

Sorry to be so late in the day with this post - but better late than never I suppose. We have a new challenge up and running today at Pixie Dust Challenge and this week we are looking for you to make all the embellishments that you use by hand. You can read all about the challenge this week and take a little peek at the gorgeous projects from the DT Here.

I have chosen to use one of the new images from the Playpen Pets Collection that will be released by Pixie Dust Studios tomorrow and I will be back again tomorrow to let you see the whole collection along with another card featuring one of these gorgeous new images. I have used NitWit papers on this card and I have cut out the various embellishments such as the clouds, fences and flowers. I am also entering this card at Cute Card Thursday where they are looking for you to embellish your main image. I have used glossy accents, glitter and a white pen to make dots on the canopy, so I hope that this meets the criteria.

We have had the most gorgeous weather here today and looks like it will be the same tomorrow, so I do hope that the sun is also shining for you where ever you are.

Pixie Circus Collection release day at Pixie Dust Studio

We have the release of the fabulous new Pixie Circus collection at Pixie Dust Studios today and all the gorgeous images pictured below are now available in the Shop now.

The image that I have chosen to use on my release day card today is Circus Princess and I think that she is just gorgeous standing there to welcome everyone to the circus. I so enjoyed working with these bright bold colours - a real change for me as I usually am happy using pastel colours. The papers that I have used are from a Nitwit collections download called Big Top.

Please pop on by the Pixie Dust blog to see some more of these gorgeous images and also you will find the links to the rest of the DT blog over on the right of my blog.

The sketch that I have followed for this card is the current one at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

We have a great sketch for you to follow this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar by our own Natalie. You can see the sketch and read all about this week's prize Here.

I have used one of the fabulous newly released images from the Splash Collection at Pixie Dust Studio and this little cutie is called Swimming Dolly. The papers are all from a Nitwit Designs download and the little flowers are by prima.

Due to being away on holiday I also missed getting a card ready for the latest challenge at Pixie Dust Challenge where the theme is Under the Sea and we were asked to use the colour blue on the card. You still have a couple of days to enter this week's challenge and I will be back on Thurdsay with another great little image from this collection for my card for this week's new challenge.

Easter Card for Squiggle Stamps March Challenge

Well I may be a bit ahead of myself, but I thought that the new Spring challenge at Squiggle stamps was just the perfect excuse to get those Easter cards started. I know that Easter is really late this year, but I have no idea where the time goes and before I know it I will be dashing around at the last minute, as usual! to get all my cards finished and off in the post. You can read all about the March challenge Here and also about the fab £30 voucher that is up for grabs!!

I have used the Hoppy Easter digi stamp on my card here and teamed her with some gorgeous Easter papers from NitWit designs.

This adorable digi stamp is the stamp of the month at the moment at Squiggle stamps and you can get her Here for only £1 at the moment. The sketch that I have followed for this card is the current one at TRhe Pixie Cottage.

I have decorated the inside with some more of these gorgeous papers from NitWit and the cute little bunny with the Easter message also came with this paper pack download.

Nutty Nutshells Challenge #9

Love is in the air. Today is a new challenge at Nutshell's. We want to see your Valentine's themed cards. We have a great prize up for grabs as always and as ever, some great great inspiration on the blog from the rest of the DT.
For more information on the Challenge, click here. All you have to do is make a Valentine's Day card using a Nutcrafter's stamp or image and post a comment on the Challenge blog.

For my little project this time around, I have decorated a little brown treat bag and have used one of the digi images from the Loved Up Set which is still available at Nutcrafters and the papers are from a Nitwits download.

I have filled the bag with some really yummy chocolates, so think will need to give this to my husband in the hope that he may share them with me.

It is our Wedding Anniversary on Valentines Day and we will be spending the weekend at out little place in Spain. I have booked for us to go to our favourite restaurant on Sunday night so I can't wait for the 14th to come around. I hope that you are able to do something nice on Valentines Day.

Sketch and Stash - Jungle Monkey

Here is a little card (and it is a little one as it is only 9cm square) that I have made with the Jungle Monkey from the Wild Flowers release at Pixie Dust Studios and what a great little monkey he is - really suitable for all sorts of cards and projects. The papers are from a Nitwits download and I have computer generated the sentiment.

I have also finshed off the inside of this card, but the light really is so bad today that it had taken me ages to even get this photo (which is really not good at all as the pinks and yellow are much more vibrant in real life) - oh for a bit of sunshine and light to be able to take a decent photo again!!

I have followed the current sketch at Sketch and Stash and really enjoyed this one.

I am now heading off to Aberdeen to drop off some new curtains that I was making for my daughter Stephanie. She lives in an old flat with really high ceilings and can never get curtains that are long enough - thank goodness for mums!!!

Have a great day.

Copics Colour Challenge #50 and Pixie Dust Studios new release Sneek Peek

Here are the colours for this week Copics Colour Challenge. Please remember that if like me you do not have the exact colours, just use the nearest colours that you have - as long as you have used copics that is fine by us.

We haven't mentionned this specifically before, but please feel free to combine our colour challenge with any other challenge. Also, if our combo has really inspired you, please feel free to enter more than once.

On my card this cute little ted is Wink and he is one of the images due to be released by Pixie Dust Studio tomorrow as part of their fabulous new Wild Flower set. Please pop back here tomorrow where I will have another card to show you and also details of the whole set - I just know that you will love them all.

The papers that I have used are a download from Nitwit Collections and the buttons are by stampin up. The sketch I have used is the one below which is the current one at Friday Sketchers.

Have fun with this challenge and please remember to pop back tomorrow for the Pixie Dust Studio Wild Flowers release.
