We wish you a merry christmas!

This is the first card that I had done in ages that has not had to be a DT card and at long last I have managed to do one that fits the challenge at the The Sugar Bowl where they have a great sketch to follow and the other option was to try something different - the difference for me was that I have completely coloured in the image, including the background - never done this before.

The stamp is a Sugar Nellie one from Funky Kits called Festive Friends and the papers are all just scraps that I had left in my box - I think the striped one may be last years My Mind's Eye.

Well it looks like we may be enjoying the calm before the storm here today in the Highlands of Scotland as we have yet more gales and snow forecast. I only hope that it is a bit better by the beginning of next week as we need to get to Edinburgh on Monday evening to catch a flight to Spain first thing on Tuesday morning, and after the disaster that we had on the 17th December last year when we landed up spening a week at Heathrow airport, I can only hope and pray that this year will be a little less stressful!!

Have a great week.

Squiggle Stamps Challenge - Let's Celebrate!

Sorry to be a day late with my post about the new challenge over at Squiggle Stamps - we have had a family bereavement and I am running a bit behind time at the moment.

So as to give everyone plenty of time to enter this challenge as well as having plenty of time to celebrate Chrstmas and the New Year, this challenge will be running until 6th Janary and Tracy has put up an amazing £30 gift voucher to spend in the Squiggles store - you can read all about it Here.

Just for a change, rather than making a card, I have made a little gift bag for his challenge and I have used the cute All Wrapped Up Boy on the tag. The papers are Sugar Plums by Recollections.

I Hope you get some time to pay along wih us and have some fun.

Pixie Dust Challenge 104 - Glitter and Bling

We now have out latest challenge up and running at Pixie Dust Studio and this time around our theme is glitter and bling - just perfect for Christmas I think.

I have used the gorgeous Socket the Reindeer on my card here along with some more of these delicious Sugar Plum papers by Recollections. I am not sure how well it shows up in the photo, but the holly paper is all glittered as is just gorgeous. I have also added some little gems to the antlers and also the collar for an extra bit of bling. The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Mojo Monday.

Have a great weekend.

Pixie Dust Breaking Dawn

I have a card to share with you this evening featuring one of the gorgeous new Pixie Dust Studio images from the Breaking Dawn collection. This one featuring Edward and Bella is called Forever and it is available Here.

The papers that I have used are by Craftwork Cards and the Love brad is one that I have had in my stash for ages.

Up until 2 weeks ago I knew nothing about the Twilight movies, but the girls at work persuaded me that I should go to see the new Breaking Dawn movie this week and before that they insisted that I watch the first three movies. So, I spend most of the weekend before last getting up to speed with the first three and now I can't wait to see the new one tomorrow evening. We are going straight to the cinema after work and then heading for a pizza - should be a great evening.

Please check back on Thursday to see another of the images from this collection that I have used for the new Pixie Dust Challenge.

Squiggle Stamps Challenge - Anything But a Card

Well, I can't believe how long it is since I last posted something. Long story, but what with holidays and life getting in the way, I am sorry, but crafting has been way down my list for the last few weeks. I am glad to say, that things are a bit more settled again and boy did I enjoy getting back into the craft room and what better to start off with again than a Christmas project.

We have a new challenge up and running for you today at Squiggle Stamps and this time around we are looking for you to create anything but a card - so plenty of choice there.

I have chosen to go with an altered gift tag, but I am sure that this could also double us as a Christmas Tree ornament. I have used the super cute Penguin presents and have added lots of glitter - a must at Christmas I always think!!.

Please pop on over to the blog Here to read all about the challenge and to take a peek at the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT this week.

I do hope that you get some time to play along with us this time around.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #162 - Birthdays

We have a new challenge for you today at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this time around we are looking for Birthday cards. We are slowing down a bit over the summer holiday time and this challenge will be running until Monday 29th August with a new one starting on 30th August and then back to our weekly slot on Tuesday 6th September.

For my card I have used one of the cute new stamps from Sugar Nellie and I think that she is really cute, a bit bigger stamp than I ahd expected it to be and perhaps a bigger card would have been better but cute nevertheless I think. The sketch is the current one at The Sweet Stop.

Squiggle Stamps Pink and Black challenge

Well here we are, another Monday morning and thanks to the terrible rain that we had here yesterday, another day of chaos on the travel front what with cancelled and late running trains. It appears that this is the norm now whenever we have a bit of rain! Nevermind, I am now at work, don't know what will happen later in the day and whether there will be a train home or not, but no point in worrying about it at the moment.

We have another challenge up and running here at Squiggle stamps and we also have a new release of the gorgeous Goth Kidz images which are now available Here and these are just too cute for words.

I have used the adorable Hippie Goth Girl image on my card here and followed the theme of the New Black and Pink challenge which you can read all about Here. I have also added a piece of lace which is the optional extra on the challenge. The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and the papers are all by Nitwit designs.

I do hope that you get some time to join in with the challenge - please just remember that we need to see a Squiggle stamps image somewhere on your card, but there are lots and lots of gorgeous images to chooses from in the shop Here and you still have almost 2 weeks to get your entries in.

Have a great week.
