Copic Colour Challenge 41 - Meets Whiff of Joy challenge

We have another great colour combination for you to work with at Copics Colour Challenge this week and I an sure that you will get some inspiration from the gorgeous cards that the DT and Guest Designers have created this week. Here is my card for this week's challenge. I have used another of my Whiff of Joy new stamps and again I have used these fabulous Webster' Pages papers and all the sentiments and papers are from this pad - I just love it. Flowers are by prima. I really love the look that these papers create and just wish that I had bought lots more as they appear to be really difficult to get a hold of.


I am up to my eyes trying to get all my Christmas cards ready prior to going off on holiday mid December - I now have less that 3 weeks and so much to do!!

Oh I nearly forgot to mention that I will also enter this card in this week's Whiff Of Joy challenge where they are looking for Christmas cards.

Friday Sketchers card

There is fab sketch this week at Friday Sketchers and here is my card made following the sketch. I am so in love with these little Wiff of Joy gnomes at the moment - and I think that this is my favourite out of the 4 that I bought. All the papers are by Bo Bunny as are the flowers which I have lightly sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The little sentiment is by Making Memories.


I am having a lazy day at home today and may even get started on wrapping up the Christmas presents for the kids that I have already bought - we are heaading off to Spain on holiday on 16th December, so I really need to get a bit of a move on and get organised as all the presents will need to be delivered to Aberdeen in the next couple of weeks before we head off to my little Wendy House in paradise!!

Copics Colour Challenge - #40

It's Wednesday already and time for another challenge over at the Copics Challenge blog. Roses on Paper Challenge

The very talented Anki very kindly left a comment on my blog a couple of days and also told me about a fairly new challenge blog called Roses on Paper Challenge Blog which she has done a wonderful sketch for this week.

I had an order for one of my new notebooks and have taken the opportunity to use Anki's fab sketch for making this.

Papers are Basic Grey Euphoria (does anyone know where to get Basic Grey 6x6 pads - everywhere that I have been looking appears to be sold out and my stock of these is just about finished!),card SU, image Whiff of Joy and blooms are some of the ones that my aunt kindly brought over from California with her when she visited last year - thanks again Alice. Basic Grey - Oh so charming

Well I am nearly at the end of my Christmas cards now and hopefully another night or two should see them finished. The challenge on Basic Grey this week is to make a card with at least one charm on it. The only charms that I have at the moment are the made with love heart shaped ones and I think this looks just fine on this card. I have used Charlotte with her cat from Whiff of Joy, DP are Basic Grey Wassail and the sentiment is Papermania. Charm, ribbon, flowers and brads from my stash.

I can't believe the weekend is over already and time to go back to work again. I have our work Christmas Lunch and we always have drinks and secret santa before we go to the restaurant so that will be a fun day on Friday. Friday also is my last day at work before Christmas so I will have to work pretty hard this week to make sure everything is up to date before I go off.

Christmas Charlotte - Whiff of Joy Challenge

This weeks challenge was to use red and green which screams out Christmas Card. I have used this cute Charlotte with her cat and I think she is just beautiful in her winter coat. I have used Basic Grey papers again as I am so in love with these at the moment. I am still struggling to get some nice Christmas flowers and have been to the local garden centre where I have managed to find a few of these Christmas Picks that I have now completely taken to pieces and at least I now have some nice poinsettas to use - the only problem is that they are rather big and will not fit all my cards - the search goes on... I have used 2 of the rectangle nestabilities to cut the frame for the image and the ribbon and brads are from my stash. Sentiment is Sugar Nellie.



I only have one more day left before I return to work. I am now fully recovered after my operation, but must admit that I have really enjoyed having this time at home and being able to craft in the afternoons rather that trying to fit it all in in the evenings. Never mind, I suppose I need to get the money from somewhere to feed this craft addiction.

A Spoonful of Sugar and Cute Card Thursday

I am entering this card for 2 challenges this week. The Challenge on A Spoonful of Sugar this week is a wonderful sketch by Debbie and over on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to make a card using bright colours and I think these colours certainly are bright.
I have used another of Katharina's Whiff of Joy wonderful stamps - Charlotte trimming the tree, these brilliant K & Company papers that I am just loving and I have cut the snowflakes with cuttlebug and quickutz dies.

PTW Challenge - Katharina's Sketch #9

I have finally managed to get my first Christmas Card of the year done. The challenge on Papertake Weekly this week is another of Katharina's great sketches and what better to use than one of Katharina's own new stamps. I have used some K&Co papers left over from last year and some snowflake brads that I have covered with stickles to give them a bit of bling.
