A Spoon Full of Sugar - Easter

The challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar is to make something for Easter.

We have a great prize this week of the below gift voucher which has very kindly been donated by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts. Thank you Bryony!

For this card and and little Easter Egg holder I have used images from CC designs Gingersnap Spring set all of which have been coloured with copics, DP is Imaginisce For Peep's Sake, brads are Doodlebug sugared and all ribbon, blooms and other embelishments from my stash. The cute little popcorn holder was cut with my cricut using the Tags, Bags and Boxes cartridge and what a great cartridge this is proving to be, the scalloped edge on the handle was cut using a stampin up border punch.

The cute little rabbit that I have used in this photograph is a 99p keyring from Asda which I have cute the key-ring bit off of. This was my first effort at a nice display photo rather than just a photo of the card and box.

Have a great week and I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Easter.

Another card with this great e-kit

I have been working again with this great Little Princess E-Kit from Making Handmade Cards and have discovered just how versatile it is. The first card that I had made was really girly with the pinks and blues, bus as you can see these green and purple papers can be used to make a much more grown up card. I think this would be just perfect for a mum on her birthday or could be adapted for a Mothers Day card or even a thank you card.
Inside of card

As with the last card, everything is in the kit apart from the flower, ribbon, stick on gems and I have used some stickles on the trees on the front and some of the trees in the inside.
What a great kit this has been and I am already looking forward to seeing what they come out with next.
If you have not already done so, you can sign up Here for the free newsletter which will let you know about when this kit is launched and all the up to date news and free download.

Thanks for looking.

Preview of new E-Kit at Making Handmade Cards

I have been working with a new E-kit that Claire and Jo at Making Handmade Cards have sent to me which is due to be released in the next wee while.

This is the first card that I have made with this great kit called Little Princess and as the name says it is just perfect for any Little Princess in your life. I have made a party invitation that fits into it's own little criss-cross card holder and these papers are just so beautiful. I haven't put any wording on the inviation, but I have covered the back of the pull out card and there is plenty room on there for the actual writing of the invitation. The only things that I had added from my own stash are the ribbon, flower, button and glitter gems, eveything else was part of the kit.

You can sign up Here for the free newletter which lets you know when any new eKits are released and you will also get the Floral Doodle E-Kit, which is ful of beautiful backing papers absolutely free when you sign up for your free copy of the newsletter.

Thanks for looking

DT work for Making-Handmade-Cards

I have been approached by the lovely Claire and Jo at Making-Handmade-Cards to ask if I would join their DT as a Guest DT member and make some cards with their new Ekit which is due to be released soon.

After having a look at their website and seeing the kits that they have already released I didn't have to think too long about this great opportunity.

Here are the first couple of cards that I have sent off to them and I do hope that you like them.

The only things that I have had to add are the ribbon, lace, flowers, brads and gems. All the backing papers, images, sentiments etc come with the kit and in this particular kit you get everything in pink, blue, aqua and yellow along with the many black and white images, frames and sentiments.

Certainly a great kit to work with and I know that they have many others in the pipe line. If you pop over to the link Here you can sign up to their free newsletter and also receive their wonderful Floral Doodle Printable Backing Paper collection absolutely free - what a great offer!

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 42 - sketch by Michelle

On A Spoonfull of Sugar this week we have a fabulous sketch by Michelle.

For my card this week I have used this cute stamp and sentiment stamp by Butterfly Kisses, the DP is Baby Girl by Flair Designs, buttons are Stampin Up and the charm and ribbon are from my stash. There is stitching on the layout which is optional, but my sewing machine, which is really old, appears to have died, so I have used rub-on stitching by Doodlebug.

A Spoonfull of Sugar Torn Edges

The challenge over on A Spoonfull of Sugar this week is to make a card with torn edges on it.
Front of card

I have chosed one of the Miss Anya stamps for this card as they are my favourite stamps at the moment (along with the Gorjuss girls - I will have a post with these later in the day!). The papers that I have used are from a set of 12 by Dena for Creative Imaginatons. I just love them as they remind me of spring and I really had to force my self to cut and tear into them. Flowers are by prima and ribbon, lace and other embelishments from my stash. This is the first time that I have ever made a card with torn paper on it - I like everything to be just so!, but I was really surprised at how much I like the torn effect. I have only torn the two strips of pink and white paper across the card and have put the ribbon and lace on top of these pieces. I have coloured Miss Anya with copics.

Good luck with the challenge this week and have a great day.

I have used the sketch (which I have turned on it's side)this week for my first card using the new Gorjuss girls collection of stamps from Sugar Nellie. I have had this card sitting on my desk for almost a week now and have been dying to get it on my blog. I hope you all love these little beauties as much as I do. I have used these beautiful papers by Paper Adventures and I do not know if you can see it on the picture, but the patterned paper is embossed and glittered and is just gorgeous. The florish was cut with a quickutz die and the flowers brads and gems are from my stash.
Front of card

I have managed to use another of these lovely girls in the inside of the card and she looks so cute sitting on the sentiment square. I had thought of putting another one on the back but decided that I would keep the others for another card.
