A Spoonful of Sugar - sparkle and bling
I just love sparkle and bling so this was a great week for me on A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge. I have used trimming the tree which is one of the new Christmas Collection from Sugar Nellie.
I have used K&Co cardstock and have added stickles to make it sparkle, I have also replaced the baubles on the tree with coloured gemstones to give that extra bit of bling. The small tag is also K&Co.

PTW - Hamish playing rugby
Anyone who follows my blog will know that I never make male cards - just have never had any inspiration to do so. However, this really cute Hamish was one of the stamps that came with my design pack from Sugar Nellie and I have been looking at him for over a week now and decided that today was the day!
I have followed the wonderful sketch my Dawny over on Papertake Weekly challenge and I hate to admit it, but I just love this card and may even ber persuaded to try some more for the boys.
As I already mentioned, the stamp is Sugar Nellie, DP is by Dovecraft as are the brads and sentiment was cut using my cricut.
Thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers Challenge - Meet Porridge the Pig
There is a great sketch to follow over on Friday Sketchers this week designed by Claudia Rosa. I have used Porridge the Pig which is one of the new Soft Centres collection from Sugar Nellie.
DP are doodlebug and I have used promarkers for this one. Ribbon, brads and flowers from my stash. The coupon on the chocolate is a clear stamp from Hero Arts (One of a set of three) and the sentiment on the card is cut with my cricut.
I had made the card before I noticed that one of the vertical elements was missing from my design, so I have made a wrapper for a bar of chocolate and incorporated the ribbon down the side in order to fit the sketch.
Thanks for looking.

Sugar Nellie - Daisy Gift Bag
This my first attempt at making a gift bag. I just love this little Daisy stamp from Funky Kits and decided I needed to put her on something else to go along with the card that I had made last night. Now that I have mastered it I can try making them in different sizes. I have used DCVW papers again so that it matches the card.
I must apologise for the quality of the photos, but it is such a horrid day here today and there has hardly been any light all day.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking

First Sugar Nellie card as Guest DT Member
I picked up my package of stamps to work with as Sugar Nellie Guest DT member today and to say that I was happy with the stamps that I had been given would be an understatement. I think that Daisy from the new Elizabeth Bell collection has to be my favourite, but as you will see over the next couple of weeks they are all fantastic.
This stamp and the rest of the Elizabeth Bell new collection should be available on the Funkykits website next week.
I have used the wonderful sketch on Everybody-Art-Challenge this week for this card.
DP are DCWV - small wonders, Flowers by Prima, the sentiment is a really old cube stamp that belonged to my mum which has 4 different sentiments on it, brads are doodlebug sugar coated and spacers, charm and jewels are from my stash. Colours in with a combination of Promarkers and Copics.
Have a great weekend. I am now off to play with a pig!!
Alison meets Mrs Sugar Nellie
Sugar Nellie have a stand at Hobby Crafts at the SECC in Glasgow and Alison of Dinky Dots stamps and downloads
visited the stand yesterday and met Mrs Sugar Nellie herself. While at the stand Alison saw some of the Christmas card and Sweet Ebony sample cards that I hadmade for Sugar Nellie and had her photo taken with them. Here are a couple of the pictures that were taken with my cards. Sounds like Alison had a great day there with her friend Linda and she managed to get herself some of the new Sugar Nellie stamps that were premiered at the SECC. Sugar Nellie will be at the SECC today tomorrow and Sunday, so if you are anywhere near Glasgow over the next few days you really should try to pop in and say hello to Mrs Sugar Nellie. I believe the new stamps will be available on the FunkyKits website next week.

Whiff of Joy Challenge #5
This weeks challenge is a fabulous sketch by Heather. I have used Melinda blowing kisses and the sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy. I hve loved using this sketch so much that I decided to make a second card this time using Melinda holding heart. DPs are Basic Grey Euphoria and this is the first time I have used this pad and I am so impressed by these. The scalloped bit was done with one of the new cuttlebug embossing edges and I have cut the excess bits away. Flowers by Prima as usual.

Sketch Saturday #21
Here is my card for Sketch Saturday this week. I am just loving this image which my daughter Stephanie kindly gave to me. I think it is a whippersnapper and if you are looking at this post Stephanie can you please bring it with you when you come to visit next week. The papers are Doodlebug and I have added some stickles to the red one to give it a bit of bling. Flowers are prima as usual.
It took me ages to make this card as I have run out of double sided tape and had to use glue and wait for it to dry between each layer - and I had forgotten how messy it is working with glue!. I can't drive for 2 weeks after having had my op so will have to hope that I can persuade my husband to run me over to Papercrafts Boutique at lunch-time otherwise I think I may go crazy!.
Thanks for looking.

Just a quick post to say that I had my operation on Thursday morning and got home late Friday afternoon. I am feeling much better that I had thought I would be at this stage. Not quite up to card making yet, but able to do a bit of blog-hopping.

Off to Hospital & Everybody-Art-Challenge
I have made this card for a new challenge that I found last night while blog hopping called Everybody-Art-Challenge and what a great sketch they have this week. I have used another of the Sugar Nellie, Home Grown range snowmen - I just love these characters. All these stamps can be purchased from Funkykits. They also have some sneek peeks of their new range on the Sugar Nellie blog which is well worth a look.
This will be my last card for as few days as I am off into hospital in about an hour to have my gall bladder removed tomorrow - oh joy!

PTW - No stamping
I really am at the last minute with this card for PTW. The challenge this week was to make a card with no stamping on it. It is ages since I did a card with no stamped image on it and this was fun. I have used one of the new cuttlebug embossing folders and on some miri card and then highlighted the house roofs with stickles. I did not have any embossed Christmas greetings but I think the with love sentiment looks fine.
Sorry the picture is not too good, due to the miri card it has proved really difficult to try to get a half decent picture.
Thanks for looking.

Exciting News from Sugar Nellie
I have just found out today that I have been chosen as a guest designer for Sugar Nellie, how exciting is that. I am so grateful to Karen and the Sugar Nellie team for this opportunity and can't wait to see which stamps I get to work with. I will probably be walking around for the rest of the weekend with a permanent smile on my face.

SugarNellie does Friday Sketchers and Dutch Dare Card Challenge
Beatrix has a great sketch on Friday Sketchers this week and the challenge on Dutch Dare Card this week is to make a Christmas card. I have taken this opportunity to use another one of the Home Grown collection of stamps from Sugar Nellie. (These stamps are all available here) The papers are from the DCWV Christmas Wishes multi stack and I have coloured in this wonderful snowman with copic markers.
Have a great weekend.

One card, two challenges
This is my card for A Spoonful of Sugar challenge this week which is to make a card with a pink and green colour scheme. It was only when I had finished it that I saw that the challenge on Dutch Dare Card challenges this week was to make a card with a wild animal on it - well this bear is the nearest thing that I have to a wild animal in my collection of stamps to I hope that it qualifies - certainly does not look like an fierce wild animal!!
I have used papers from K&Company, Prima Flowers and the little bear and the sentiments are both from CC designs.
Thanks for looking.

Sketch Saturday and Our Creative Corner
I have followed the sketch by Gill over on Sketch Saturday for this card which also fits in with the challenge on Our Creative Corner which is bling on the bling.
These are not the colours I would usually use but I was struggling to know what to use with this new Sugar Nellie snow couple stamp.
All these new Sugar Nellie Christmas stamps are now available on the Funky Kits website (link on the right).
I think they look really cute and the paper looks snowy I think.
It has been a really cold day here today, so I have spent most of it inside sorting out my craft stuff and having a play around with papers and layouts. My husband has been working today, so I have had lots of time to myself which has been lovely.

Sketch Saturday & Cute Card Thursday
I have made this card which fits 2 challenges. I struggled a bit with the sketch on Sketch Saturday as I did not have a stamp the right size and ended up having to turn the sketch through 180 degrees so that the sentiment runs down the right hand side rather than along the bottom.
The challenge on Cute Card Thursday is to make an animal Christmas Card and I have used another of these cute Forever Friends stamps, this one being part of the Christmas 3 piece set, The small presents are also one of the Forever Friends range of stamps and I have masked off part of another one of these stamps to get the sentiment. I think the papers are doodlebug, but I may be wrong with the striped one.
