Celebrate with Daisy

I have a card to share with you today featuring the gorgeous Daisy with Flowers from the Oscar and Daisy range.

I have had the great priviledge of being involved with Tracy and Squiggle stamps right from the very start and this image is one of the very first images that was made into rubber and was such an exciting time for everyone. She still is one of my favourite stamps and can be used for almost any occasion.

Have a great week.

Pixie Dust Challenge #62 - Don't Be Square

We have another great challenge today for you at Pixie Dust Challenge Blog and this time around we are looking for anything but square cards.

Probably 99% of the cards that I make are square so this was a real fun challenge for me and a chance to make a rectangle one for a change.

I have used the brilliant new Princess and the Frog image that was just launched a couple of days ago and I have used papers from an imaginsce pad again. The little Enchanted Kingdom ticket was a freebie with a magazine last year and I have punched out some little flowers and added some gems to them.

The sketch that I have followed is the current one at MoJo Monday.

Have fun,

Pixie Dust Studio - Have a Ball release

I was having major problems with my internet service yesterday so I never managed to get this post to show on the day of the release of the amazing new "Have a Ball" release at Pixie Dust Studio.

This gorgeous Pixie that I have to share with you today is called "when will my prince come" and I have teamed her with some gorgeous Imaginisce papers, a princess charm and some little doodlebug flowers. I know that I have followed a sketch with this card, but cannot for the life of me remember which one it is - so if anyone recognises it please leave me a comment so that I can give credit to it.

As we all know the Cinderella story has a happy ending, so I have used the gorgeous Cinderella image on the inside of the card.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 140 - Anything but a card

It is my turn to pick the challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar and I have set the challenge of "anything but a card" so it could be a box, bag, Tag, bookmark, decorate a frame, book or a post-it pad, hanging picture....

Please go check out the blog here to see all the truly gorgeous creations from the DT this week and also to read all about the fab prize on offer from Nikki at Bunny Zoes Crafts.

I have gone with the option of altering a box to go along with a card that I made last week for yet another new baby - a little girl this time.

These papers and image are downloads from Pink Gem Designs. These are just gorgeous and so versatile.

The little round sentiment on the card is also from the same download.

I have cut the flowers with a Martha Stewart punch that I picked up on sale when I was in the US at Christmas time.

The sketch that I have followed for this card and box is the current one at The Pixie Cottage.

I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did.

A Little bit of Decoupage

I had a bit of fun last night with something a bit different - a little bit of decoupage. I have been asked to do so many baby cards in the past few weeks, and I got another order earlier this week for yet another one for a new baby boy. I have been a bit pushed for time this week so decided that I needed to try to do something that would be a bit quicker and just happened to notice that the wonderful Janet over at Pink Gem Designs now does her own range of printable digi papers and as baby boy ones are something that I just do not have these were just perfect. While on Janet's website I also discovered that she does printable decoupage baby images - so what could be more pefect.

I especially love working with digi papers as you can size them on the computer just ready to cut and put directly onto the card and also as you size them the images on the papers become just the perfect size for the card.

I have followed the sketch that is currently running at the Pink Gem Challenge Blog.

I think you may see some more of these from me in the near future - I also bought the baby girl decoupage images and it would be great to have a couple of these sitting in my card box for future orders.

Have a great weekend.

Valentine teddy

I have another one of my little teddy cards to share with you today.

The hearts paper on this one started life as Tesco wrapping paper and this was the last little bits left of it - must check them out this year to see if they have anything worth buying to put in my box!

When our grandaughter reached the age of around 4 we started sending her a Valentine card each year and it has now become a ritual that she expects every year and this year it appears that her twin brothers are to get their first ones (they are now 4 years old). The really fun bit about sending these is that my husband always writes the little poem to go inside - this is the only time of the year that he ever does anything like this and it always makes me chuckle - I only hope that he realises that he has 3 different ones to write this year.

Have a great week.

Teddies Everywhere!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I finished off last night that are again different from my usual stamped cards. Before I got into rubber and digital stamping I loved using die cuts and punched shaped to create cards and these are very typical of what I used to make and I must admit that I still really like these.

The papers that I have used areall scraps that I had in my box and I have punched the teddies with a combination of circle and oval punches. The little accessories like the cake, present and hat were all from a pack of diecuts. The lettering is all done with quickutx dies.

I am entering these cards in the current challenge at Papertake Weekly where the theme is anything goes with the added option of adding flowers.
