A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 153 - Things with Wings

Our challenge to you this week at a Spoon Full of Sugar is things with wings, so either an image with wings on it, paper with something with wings or embelishments with wings on. You can check the challenge out and take a peek at the gorgeous cards from the rest of the DT Here.

I have been deperate to ink up these gorgeous new Hanglar stamps that I managed to buy and as she has no wings I have gone with the option of using some paper with a dragonfly on it. The papers are all just bits and pieces that I had left over so sorry can't tell you who they are by. Flowers are by prima and sentiment by Craftwork cards.

I am also entering this card at Flutterby Wednesdays where they have an open challenge this week.

Pixie Circus Collection release day at Pixie Dust Studio

We have the release of the fabulous new Pixie Circus collection at Pixie Dust Studios today and all the gorgeous images pictured below are now available in the Shop now.

The image that I have chosen to use on my release day card today is Circus Princess and I think that she is just gorgeous standing there to welcome everyone to the circus. I so enjoyed working with these bright bold colours - a real change for me as I usually am happy using pastel colours. The papers that I have used are from a Nitwit collections download called Big Top.

Please pop on by the Pixie Dust blog to see some more of these gorgeous images and also you will find the links to the rest of the DT blog over on the right of my blog.

The sketch that I have followed for this card is the current one at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge #152 - Anything Goes

I am a bit late with posting my card today for the new challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. As I mentioned yesterday in my post, I had a big exam to sit today as part of my Business Management course and I have not long got back home after the exam. I am hoping that I have managed to do enough to pass it so that I don't have to do the re-sit (don't want to put myself through that again!!).

You can read all about the challenge this week, the prize on offer and take a look at the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT this week Here.

The image is Li'l Red by Pixie Dust Studios and the papers are by Nitwit designs. The sketch that I have followed is the one this week at MoJo Monday

I hope that you have some fun with the challenge this week.

Sweet Stop Sketch challege and playing with digi papers

I have a card to share with you today that I made at the weekend. I have had by head in books studying for a big exam that I have tomorrow as part of my Business Management course so taking a little time out over the weekend was a well needed break from the studies.

I have been using digi papers on my cards for some time now, but usually I just print them off and then cut them to size to use on my cards, but at the weekend I had a bit of fun creating a whole layout on the computer and even in this case incorporating the image before printing the whole thing off as just one layer to add to a card base. It was fun and I am sure that with a bit more practice the results could be really good. All I had to do with it when it was printed off was colour in the cute Daisy with flowers image with some copics and hey presto it was ready to attach to the backing card.

The sketch that I have followed for the card is the current one at The Sweet Stop Sketches challenge. and the papers are from a Nitwit Designs download

Well I guess that I had better get back to ther studying - wish me good luck for tomorrow and I will be back with you again soon.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #74 - Make it Shiny

Not exactly sure what has been going with blogger over the past day or so, but here at last is my card for the new challenge at Pixie Dust Studio Challenge where this time around we are looking for you to add some silver and or something metallic to your cards.

I have used the ever so cute Walter and his pup from the newly released Splash collection on my card here. The papers are by Nitwit Designs and in order to fit in with the challenge I have used some mirror card and also added a small charm to the front of the card.

The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Sketch Saturday - was cutting that one a bit fine I think!

Please do pop on over to the Pixie Dust challenge blog Here to read all about the challege this week and take a little peek at the gorgeous cards from the rest of the DT this week.

Have a great weekend.

Twin Boys Arrival

My friend Lydia gave birth to gorgeous twin boys on Friday last week and I went to visit them in hospital yesterday. They are just gorgeous and I could so have taken then home with me (perhaps she only needs one!!). They are nt identical but are very alike.

I made this little card to welcome them into the world, but in the excitement of going to see them, forgot to pop it in the gift bag that I also took, so I will get it in the post to them today.

The image is a digital iamge from Wee Stamps which I have flipped over and then printed the two off together. The sketch that I have followed was a recent one at Truly Scrumptious

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 151 - Sketch by Natalie

Well I am now back from my holiday in Spain and back at work again. It was great to get a little time last night to get a card made - first one for well over two weeks!!

We have a great sketch for you to follow this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar by our own Natalie. You can see the sketch and read all about this week's prize Here.

I have used one of the fabulous newly released images from the Splash Collection at Pixie Dust Studio and this little cutie is called Swimming Dolly. The papers are all from a Nitwit Designs download and the little flowers are by prima.

Due to being away on holiday I also missed getting a card ready for the latest challenge at Pixie Dust Challenge where the theme is Under the Sea and we were asked to use the colour blue on the card. You still have a couple of days to enter this week's challenge and I will be back on Thurdsay with another great little image from this collection for my card for this week's new challenge.
