A Spoon Full of Sugar - Butterflies

We have another great challenge for you this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this week we would like to see butterflies somewhere on your card. Pop on over to the blog Here to check out this week's prize and also the beautiful butterfly cards from the rest of the DT.
For my card this week I have used one of the Miss Anya stamps from the first set. The DPs are by K& Co and the butterfly is one that came on a pack that was free with a card magazine months ago, I think it is by papermania. The sentiment is from Claire Curds signature range of clear sentiment stamps and is cut out with nestabilities

I have carried through the theme of butterflies to the inside of the card. I have cut these butterflies from a sheet of K& CO DP and glued them onto the page.

I am in Edinburgh for a couple of days at meetings and will not be back home until late on Tuesday night but will catch up with your creations on Wednesday. I am staying in the most wonderful Guest House just around the corner from Murrayfield Stadium and am being really well looked after. I even had a welcome tray in my room with sherry and roses chocolates - how lovely it is to be spoiled.
I will be back later in the day with my DT card for ICS.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge 10 - Ribbons

Over at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp the dare this week is Ribbons. We hope you will join us and we are already looking forward to seeing your digi stamp and ribbon creations. The DT have some wonderful creations which are sure to get your mojo flowing and you can see them Here

I have used some papers this week from the new Papermania pad. These papers are just delicious for soft, flowery, girly cards. The images are from a CC designs download and the butterfly and flower on the front from a Papermaina embellishment pack. I have also used a combination of Martha Stewart and Stampin Up punches and I used my crop-o-dile to make the holes along the top border in order to thread the pink ribbon through. I love these punches and really should use them more often.

In the inside I have carried the same theme through with more of these beautiful papers and another couple of the images from the same download. The adhesive glitter dots are also from Papermania. I have not yet put a sentiment on the inside as not yet sure what I want to use this card for.

Have a great weekend. I am off to Edinburgh tomorrow early morning with my daughter and future daughter-in-law. We have an Ikea trip planned and I am hoping (not told the girls yet!!) to get a little time to go to the new HobbyCraft store, which is real near Ikea (fingers crossed).

Copics Colour Challenge # 16

Hello and welcome to challenge 16 at Copics Colour Challenge.
Kay of Toodles & Binks is offering some great goodies from her online shop to one lucky, randomly selected winner. Up for grabs are two stamps (pictured below), some Zoomz and some Chiaro Flo embossing powder so be sure to play along for a chance to win.

We have a lovely colour combo for you to play with this week - R11, Y06 and E39. Please remember that you don't have to use these exact colours. If you don't have these specific ones, just use your nearest shade. As long as they are Copics, we don't mind!

I have used this cute little digi stamp from Sally Anne's Digi Stamp Boutique. DP is We R Memory keepers and I just love these 12inch papers as they have the four different patterns all on the same sheet plus the back has a different pattern - just fabulous for us cardmakers, flowers are by prima and sugar coated brads by doodlebug.

Pop on over to the blog Here to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and perhaps give you some inspiration.
Happy crafting.

Inspirational Card Sketches - #19 and my first ScrapMagasinet Challenge card

It is Tuesday again and time for another great sketch over at ICS. Go check ou the blog to see what the other DT members have created this week with this new sketch from Dawn and to see the wonderful prize that is up for grabs this week.

I have used this wonderful stamp from ScrapMagasinet this week. I have been looking at these stamps for ages but the only place that you could get them until recently was from Norway and I just never got round to trying to make sense of the blog as it is not in English (I am just too lazy!!). However my good friend Nikki has started selling these stamps on her ETSY shop, along with some other great crafting goodies so I was finally able to get my hands on some of these fab stamps. The papers that I have used are by Stampin Up and I have also used some more of these great little adhesive glitterdots by papermania which I adore.

Have a great week and I am looking forward to seeing your creations with tis week's sketch.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 54 - Sketch by Sonja

For our challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar we have a fab sketch designed by our very own talented Sonja. Thank you Sonja!

We have a great prize this week which has been kindly donated by Regina Easter from The Cutting Cafe. The lucky winner can choose any 3 sets from the cafe site. If you have never visited The Cutting Cafe before please make sure you click on the link to pop on over and take a peep. Regina has some amazing downloads to purchase.

I have used one of the original Leanne Ellis collection of stamps from Sugar Nellie this week and the papers and buttons all came from an Autumn Leaves Scrapbooking page kit which was on sale. Ribbon and flower from my stash. These colours are not colours that I normally would work with, but I just wanted to try out something different and I am really happy with the results.
Sorry no inside to this card as yet. We had the grandchildren to stay at the weekend, which was wonderful and we had such a great time in the sunshine, but I am now running way behind with the cards for this week. I will get it done inside at some point and wil then add it to the blog.
Have a great week and check out the challenge blog Here if you are looking for a bit of inspiration as the rest of the DT have come up with some fabulous cards this week.

Copics Colour Challenge 15 and Basic Grey Doodles

This weeks challenge is to use the following colours. Remember - don't worry if you don't have the exact colours - use the nearest you have as long as they are Copics!

Check out the blog Here to see what the rest of the DT have come up with using these colours and perhaps give you some inspiration.
For my card this week, I luckily had all three of the colours that were picked. The image I have used is from Sugar Nellie and the papers are Basic Grey Sultry. The challenge over at Basic Grey this week is to doodle on your card so this card also fits the challenge.

I have kept the inside of this card really simple as the papers were just too beautiful to cover up.

I hope you all have fun with this challenge this week and that you are inspired to try something different.

As I said it is Friday and therefore time for the next Dare U 2 Digistamp challenge. This week's challenge is One for the Boys and this certainly was a challenge for me as I just don't DO male cards. I am however pleased with my card and may even try a few more!

Copics Colour Challenge 14 and DT announcement

I have been so busy since I got back from holiday that I forgot to tell you that I had an email from Shell over at Copics Colour Challenge asking me if I would join their DT. As you all know, I love my Copics, so this certainly was not a difficult decision for me and I was delighted to accept.
This week is my first week as a DT member with them and here are the colours that we are all challenged to use this week. The colours are given as a guide and if you do not have the exact ones then you can use the ones that you have that are nearest to the colours given. I have used R29 Lipstick Red, B12 Ice Blue and Y06 Yellow.

I have used Imaginsce papers on my card both on the front and inside. The images are from the SugarPlum range at CC Designs, flowers are Prima and the sentiments are also CC Designs.
Front of card

Inside of card

On the left-hand inside I have created a small pocket to insert a gift-card into.

Check out the Copics Colour Challenge blog to see the beautiful card that the rest of the DT have created and I hope you get a chance to share your creation with us.

Inspirational Card Sketches No 17

This week at ICS the lovely Kendra from The Character Cafe is our lovely sponsor. She will provide 3 digital stamps to the winner. The winner will get to chose which 3 digi stamps they want out of their collection. And they do have amazing collection.

Here is this week's sketch from Dawn - yet another great one to follow.

I have used the image Precious Emmy fro The Character Cafe and I am sorry but I cannot remember who the DP is by. I bought these papers ages ago and unfortunately there is no name on them. Flowers by Prima and Adhesive Shimmer Dots are by papermania - I just love these and they come in about 4 different colours.

It would be great to see you join us this week over at ICS where I will be looking forward to seeing the lovely creations.
Have a great week.

I have not finished the inside of this card yet, but hopefully will get it done tonight and will update this post when I complete it.

I have used the fabulous sketch my Marlene over at The Sugar Bowl, so I am entering this card in the challenge over there.

My First Scrap On Line Card

I did my first scrap on line card last night with Karin and I enjoyed it so much. It took me a wee while to work out how the paperplanet online site works, but it was real fun. There were only 3 of us on last night, but hopefully more people with join in the fortcoming weeks.
Here is the card that I created from the instructions given. I have used one of my Charmed Delectable stamps for the first time and what a delight she was to colour in.

Karin has now set up a Scrap On Line challenge blog so that people that are not able to take part on the evening due to time differences etc can then make the card at a time suitable to them. Pop on over Here to read all about it and hopefully you will be able to take part in the future.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Challenge 7, Lilac and Lemon

It's Friday already and time for another Dare U 2 Digi Stamp challenge. This week it is a colour combination and this one is lilac and lemon, which I have to say is one of my favourite combinations. Check out the blog to see the beautiful cards that the rest of the DT have made with this combination.
The DP on my card this week are all from Stampin Up and the images are Dustin Pike's. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set and the ribbon from my stash. I haven't put any more embelishment on this card as I just loved the DP and did not want to cover it up anymore.

Back of card

I don't always take a picture of the back of the card, but have done this time as I wanted to show you my new stamp that was given to me as a present by Tracy Dowie who runs the Stampin Up club that I belong to. Tracy kindly designed and had these stamps made for all the club members so that we could use it whenever using stampin up stamps - thanks again Tracy - it is much appreciated.
