A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 127 - Lets Get Punchy

Hi, Tuesday morning and time for another challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this time around it was my turn to pick a theme, so I have asked you to use die cutting or punching on your creations this week - a nice easy one I think.

I have chosen to use one of the new CC Designs winter images on my card this week along with some contemporary Dovecraft Christmas papers.

I have used a couple of border punches plus a couple of Martha Stewart snowflake punches and also a quickutz snowflake die.

The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Sketch Saturday.

It was also my turn to pick a Guest DT member for the week and I was honoured with the highly talented Cabio agreed to take up the challenge. If you have not already visited her blog, please go take a peek, I can asure you that you will be inspired. Here is Cabio's card that she created for us this week.

We are sponsored this week by Whimsy stamps who are offering the winner their choice of 5 digi images - great prize eh? Please pop on over to the blog Here to read all about the challenge and also see what the rest of the DT have created.

Have a great week.

Oh Christmas Tree.....

I have another Christmas Card to share with you today - this year must be the most organised that I have ever been with getting my Christmas cards done - perhaps I may even have enough that I don't end up running out at the last minute to buy some!!

I have used the gorgeous Tree of Joy image on my card and teamed it up with some Stampin Up papers. The card base and sentiment are both by Craftwork cards. The sketch is the one this week at Friday Sketchers.

I just love this Christmas tree and it is so quick to colour in but looks really effective. It would also be great for making some quick Christmas Tags.

Have a great week and don't forget to pop back during the week to see what the rest of the DT have been up to.

I am heading off with work to Cornwall on Tuesday for a visit to the Eden Project so can't wait for that. Bit of a journey for us from the far North of Scotland, but it should be worth it.

I have sheduled a couple of posts for when I away, so hopefully I have got it right and they will appear at the right time!

Pixie Dust Studio - Leaves release

We had a new release at Pixie Dust Studio this week. This is the first chance that I have had to get the photos loaded onto my computer as I have had no internet at home this week due to workmen cutting through a cable at the bottom of our street. Fortunately I had loaded some of my DT cards onto the computer on Sunday, but I had intended getting these ones done first thing on Monday morning - c'est La Vie as they say!!!

This collection is just perfect for all thoses Autumn cards with possibly a few Halloween ones thrown in. You can get these gorgeous images Here

I have used Harvest Mouse on this altered lollipop. The papers are scraps left over from last year and the sentiment is by Penny Black.

We have quite a few young children in the street that come around with their mums and dads on Halloween night, so at least I am somewhat prepared with treats this year.

I will be back tomorrow with my card for the new Pixie Dust Challenge and will be able to show you another of the fab images from this collection.

We have a new challenge up and running at Nutshells and this time we are looking for you to use stripes on your card or project.

I have used one of the soon to be released Christmas Nutshells and what a cutie he is with his pile of presents. There are a few more of these in the pipeline and they are all fabulous. The papers that I have used are all by My Minds Eye and the little flowers started out as white prima ones which I have coloured with a copic marker and then given the stickles treatment to.
The sketch that I have followed is the last week's one at Friday Sketchers(I just missed the deadline!). However it probably does qualify for the current challenge at Ba Humbug where they are looking for you to use your favourite cutie - and this certainly has to be one of my new favourite Christmas images.

You can read all about the challenge and see the fab samples from the DT Here and I do hope that you have some time over the next 2 weeks to join us at our challenge.

Well it may not be perfect.....

One thing that I have never been able to do is bake, but the one thing that I have always wanted to try is cupcakes. My daughter Stephanie makes the most wonderful cupcakes (see below) and I got her to send me the recipie that she uses this week and this afternoon I have had a go - the result is far from perfect (as you will see!!), but I am chuffed to bits with my efforts.

Probably cost me more in getting all the bits and pieces together than I would have been to buy some from Marks and Spencer, but where would the satisfaction be there?

Here are a couple of photos of the ones that Stephanie made for Halloween last year - think I have a fair way to go to match these!!!

I will keep trying....

Another Birthday Card for my Box

Just a really quick card to show you today as I am just heading out - and am already late!!

I was having a tidy out of some of my craft drawers last night and came across a pile of images that I had coloured in probably about a year ago, so I thought that I may as well try to use these up and get a few quick cards done to put in my box.

I just love the pose of this little gorjuss girl and she is just perfect for a little birthday card. The papers are by papermania and this card fits in well with the challenge at Stamp Something where they are looking for celebration cards.

The sun is shining here today - after all the rain that we had yesterday - so I am off out to enjoy it for a bit.

Have a great weekend.

Cute Tilda for a couple of challenges

I have had a bit of spare crafting time to myself - a rare occurance - and I have taken this opportunity to get another Christmas Card out of the way and just by chance it fits in with a couple of challenges - even better!!

This cute little Tilda has not seen any ink on her in ages and I had forgotten just how cute she is. I have teamed her up with some traditional coloured Dovecraft papers and at long last I have managed to fit one of these huge poinsetta flowers onto a card.

This card fits in with the theme of anything goes at Just Magnolia and also the Christmas crafting theme at Charisma Cardz .

I am looking forward to a nice quiet weekend at home and will hopefully get a bit more crafting time in.

Have a great weekend.
