Pixie Dust Studio Challenge - #70 - Say it out loud

We have another challenge for you today at Pixie Dust Challenge and this time we are looking for you to have a sentiment on your card somewhere.

I have used Princess Coffee from the new Egg Hunt collection, the sentiment is from the same collectione pretty coloured papers from a Nitwit designs download. The little flowers were also cut out from the same download and I have added little gem stones to the centres. The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Sketch n Stash and I am also entering this card at Papertake Weekly where they are looking for dimension on your cards. I have cut the coffee cup out and used foam squares to mount it onto the card and I have also decoupaged the princess onto the coffee cup to get the desired dimension on the card.

Please do pop on over to the Pixie Dust Challenge blog here to read all about this week's challenge and to also take a peek at the gorgeous creations from the DT this week.

Have fun.

So Cute!!

I have a card to share with you today featuring one of the fabulous new stamps that have been released at Nutcrafters and this one is called Bunny and Me. The papers and lettering are a download from a Sweet Shoppe Designs and I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the flowers.

I have followed the sketch this week at Sweet Stop challenge and I am also entering this card at Papertake Weekly where they are looking for three's on your card - so I have used ribbon, a charm and little pearls on my punched flowers.

I will be back tomorrow with my card for this weeks challenge at Pixie Dust Studios.

Teddies Everywhere!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I finished off last night that are again different from my usual stamped cards. Before I got into rubber and digital stamping I loved using die cuts and punched shaped to create cards and these are very typical of what I used to make and I must admit that I still really like these.

The papers that I have used areall scraps that I had in my box and I have punched the teddies with a combination of circle and oval punches. The little accessories like the cake, present and hat were all from a pack of diecuts. The lettering is all done with quickutx dies.

I am entering these cards in the current challenge at Papertake Weekly where the theme is anything goes with the added option of adding flowers.

Cheeky Little 50th Birthday card for Friday Sketchers

I mentioned yesterday that I have been busy with orders for cards and here is another one that I have just finished and given to the customer. I was so pleased with this one and delighted when the customer was thrilled to bits with it.

These super cute images are from Bugaboo Stamps and I just love them - I have also now purchased some of their Christmas ones and will share them at a later time.

The layout that I have used is the current sketch at Friday Sketchers and the papers are by Making Memories. The 50th Birthday circle is from TLC Creations.

This card also fits in with the theme this week at papertake weekly which is cut it out and they are looking for die cutting, punching of cutting out of images, so I think that the inside of this card would qualifly.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - #35 - Metal

Well it is Friday again - yippee, and time for another challenge at DU2DS and this time around we are looking for some metal on your cards or projects. You can see how the rest of the DT have interpreted this challenge Here and all that we ask really is that you remember to use a digi stamp somewhere on your card.

I have used this really cute little image from Bugboo stamps which I have had for ages - I think it may have been one of their freebies at some point. The papers that I have used are all from an Eline's babies pack by Marianne Designs and the flowers are by prima. I have used the current sketch at Papertake Weekly.

It looks like we are set for a good weekend here, so fingers crossed we may get some sunshine.

Have a great weekend.

Cute Card Thursday with PTW sketch

The challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is to create something Lilac. I have used the sketch on Papertake Weekly. The light is really bad here today and this is the best picture that I have been able to get. The colours are a bit blue looking as the piece with the snowflakes on it should be more lilac. (I will try for a better picture in the morning and upload it if successful). I am so behind with entering challenges but my visitors have now gone home and I will get caught up a bit.

Image is precious moments, DP Winter Wonderland by Crafts House, I have cut three different sized snowflakes with the cricut and layered them before covering them with glitter sugar, jewels and ribbon from my stash.

PTW and Just Christmas Card challenges

I have only just made it with a day to spare on this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is "let is snow" and I have used the sketch on this weeks Just Christmas and Birthday Cards challenge. I apologise for the picture as the colour is not very good - not much light here today at all - lots of snow but little brightness.

I have used this really cute little Maggie in her winter outfit from SugarNellie. I cut the snowflakes on the cricut and papers are Winter Wonderland by Crafts House. Ribbon and jewels from my stash and sentiment is also Sugar Nellie. Coloured in with my promarkers.

Thanks for looking

PTW - Hamish playing rugby

Anyone who follows my blog will know that I never make male cards - just have never had any inspiration to do so. However, this really cute Hamish was one of the stamps that came with my design pack from Sugar Nellie and I have been looking at him for over a week now and decided that today was the day!

I have followed the wonderful sketch my Dawny over on Papertake Weekly challenge and I hate to admit it, but I just love this card and may even ber persuaded to try some more for the boys.

As I already mentioned, the stamp is Sugar Nellie, DP is by Dovecraft as are the brads and sentiment was cut using my cricut.

Thanks for looking.

PTW Challenge - Katharina's Sketch #9

I have finally managed to get my first Christmas Card of the year done. The challenge on Papertake Weekly this week is another of Katharina's great sketches and what better to use than one of Katharina's own new stamps. I have used some K&Co papers left over from last year and some snowflake brads that I have covered with stickles to give them a bit of bling.

Thanks for looking

A Spoonful of Sugar and Papertake Weekly Challenges

I have managed to combine 2 challenges in one card here. The challenge over on Papertake Weekly is another great sketch from Katharina - Sketch No. 8 - thanks Katharina, this was a great one in fact I will probably try to make another card later with this sketch.
Over on A Spoonful of Sugar the challenge was to use something recycled. I had coloured in this Sweet Ebony image a couple of weeks ago, but had gone over the lines on her hair and also her feet as it was not the right type of paper to use with my pro markers. I really liked the colours however and had decided to keep it as a guide if I decided to colour another one. Today I have gone around the outline with a light grey copic marker and I think you can hardly see the places where I had gone over the lines. I have also managed to use up small scraps of K&Company Hopscotch card that I have had in my stash forever.
The flowers are prima and the pink gems from Hero Arts.

Thanks for looking.

One Card - 2 Challenges - Papertake Weekly Challenge and also Daring Cardmakers Challenge

I made this card using a Pink Cat Studio stamp for Papertake Weekly Challenge and then noticed that the challenge for this week on Daring Cardmakers was to make a card with any animal on it.

I used a PinkCat studio stamp for the cat and also the sentiment, papers were Hint of Pink from Dovecraft and prima flowers from Cuddly Buddly.

Hope you like it as much as I do - I will certainly be making more cards with these stamps.

PTW Luscious Lime and Lilac

I loved this challenge as the colours are really good together. I had to use a bit of pink (well it is almost lilac isn't it!!) as I really did not have many lilacs or purples in my stash. I have used one of the Tildas that Kerry sent me and really enjoyed making this card.
