Nutshells Challenge #19

We have another great Nutshells Challenge for you today and this time around our theme is summertime fun - so really anything that makes you think about summer. The only thing that we ask is that you use something that the Nutcrafters store sells, somewhere on your card.

I have used a couple of stamps from the soon to be released Magical Mimi set at Nutcrafters. This is a fabulous set of 5 stamps + 2 mini stamps. I have used one of the mini stamps here along with the wishing well stamp and this little mini one is just the perfect size to sit on top of the other one. The papers that I have used are all from the gorgeous Rose Garden pad from Papermania and the little flower is one from a couple of packs of beautiful flowers that the girls at Nutcrafters sent to me along with my DT stamps - thanks for these Katie and Colette - I just love flowers so they are very much appreciated.

The sketch that I have followed with this card is the current on at Cupcake challenge.

I hope that you will join us this time around with our challenge and you can read all about it and also about this week's fab prize Here

Oscar the Clown and Pixie Cottage Sketch

Well we have had a gorgeous weekend here in Scotland and this is relected in these gorgeous bright colours that I have used on my card today.

I can't believe that this is the first time that I have inked up this cute Oscar the Clown who is available Here in rubber and also Here in digi format.

The papers that I have used are all from a Making Memories pad and I have cut all the mats inside with Nestabilities.

This is my second card using the sketch this week at Pixie Cottage challenge as I had not read the whole challenge on my previous card and did not realise that part of the challenge was to also complete the inside of the card. So here we are and hopefully I have got it right this time! That will teach me to read the whole post!!

Have a great week.

Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge #28 Seeing 2

Here we go with a new challenge at Pixie Dust Studio Challenges and this time we are looking for all your creations using at least 2 images on them. Most of the DT have used the additional optional theme of using Twilight images, but as I no nothing about Twilight (shock, horror!!!) I have used this cute mermaid from The Pearl collection along with a few Glub the fish images which were a freebie from Pixie Dust a little while ago.

The papers that I have used are a combination of Doodlebug and also Stampin up and the little flowers in the corner were a bargain buy pack at Poundland which I have added a little colour to at the edges with a little chalk ink pad.

The sketch that I have follwed is the current one at The Pixie Cottage - they always have such great sketches there.

I do hope that manage to join us this week and please do pop on over to the challenge blog Here to perhaps get some inspiration from the fabulous samples from the DT this week - and especially if you are a Twilight fan.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -Challenge 108 - Enjoying the Sunshine

I am so late with this post. Had hoped to get it done first thing this morning at work, but I have been interviewing all day at work for a new member of staff and have not had a moment to myself. Our Challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugarwas picked by Our very own Joanne and she has asked for a sunshine inspired card.it could be something you do in the sunshine or nice sunny colours its entirely up to you how you interpret this challenge.

I think this little bear may have been enjoying the sunshine a little bit too much and had a little more beer than he should have!! and the little mouse too. We are sponsored this week by Di's Digital downloads and Di has given the DT some images to work with this week - what a great little bear this is.

I have followed the sketch this week at Friday sketchers and the papers are all from the Hampstead Range by Papermania. The sentiment that I have used on this card are by Create with TLC.

Have fun with your sunshine cards.

A Squiggle Pirates Life For Me

Monday morning already - where does the weekend go?
I have a card to share with you that I made yesterday using Pirate Boy from the Lilliputs range at Squiggle stamps which is available here in rubber and here in digi format. I have teamed this fab little image with some download digi papers from Kay Miller Designs which I have used to create a little scene - this is the first time that I have tried this and it was real fun. This is a great little stamp for all those little boy cards and projects and just a joy to colour.

I have followed the sketch this week at Sunday Sketch and Stamp

Please also do remember that we have a fabulous opportunity for someone to join the happy band of DT members here at Squiggle and you can read all about it Here, it is open until 30th June - so still plenty of time to enter and don't forget if you don't have any Squiggle stamps in your stash, you can get a digi image from the shop Here for as little as 99p.

Have a great week,

Girly Summertime Birthday

I had coloured another of these cute little Stamping Bella images the other night and have managed to get a card done with it today. The theme at KLSNS challenges this week is Girly Birthday and I think that this one fits the bill perfectly. The papers are all by imaginsce and the flowers are by prima. Sentimental Sundays are looking for Summertime themed cards and I think that the flowers on this card are very summery.

I am having a day at home on my own in my craftroom today so hopefully I will get a bit ahead of myself with next week's DT cards.

Have a lovely day.

What no flowers?

I stamped a few of these cute little Stamping Bella images when I last visited my friend Tracy and only just came across them the other day when doing some tidying up in my craft room. I just think that this one is soo cute.

I have teamed her up with some MME papers and some ribbon that I got from Cath Kidston when I had ordered my new handbag and needed to make up the total amount so as to get the free postage!!! I got some of this ribbon in blue, pink and red and it is just gorgeous. As you can see I have put no other embelishements on this card - must be a first for me but it does appear that non-crafters do like the less is more style - don't understand it myself!! but hey ho.

The sketch that I have followed for this card is the current one at Truly Scrumptious

I am heading off to Aberdeen first thing tomorrow morning to spend the day with my daughter Stephanie. I have not seen her for more than a month so really looking forward to some time with her - only hope that she is up and ready when I get there!!!

Have a great weekend.

It's a Boy! - couple of challenge cards

My husband rang me at work yesterday morning to let me know that Eric, who works with him and his wife Alison had become grandparents for the first time. Their daughter Laura gave birth to a little (well not so little as he was 9lb) boy yesterday morning. No name yet, but both mum, baby and dad Jamie all well.

So you can guess what I was doing last night, I have many little girl cards in my card box, but no little boy ones at all - everytime I get one made another little boy comes along!.

I managed to get these two done last night. The first one was for grandma and grandpa and is very similar to one that I made a while ago, but the last time I just used some plain card as a mat whereas this time I have used some DP. Quite simple but I think quite effective. The theme over at Colour Create this week is pastel blues and pinks so I think this fits in nicely there.

This second one is the one that I have made for Laura and Jamie (mum and dad) and I have used one of my new treasured Hanglar Stamps - these are the first Hanglers that I have owned and I do so love them. I have followed the sketch this week at papertake weekly and just added a little bit of ribbon and a charm. Sorry I can't tell you who the papers are by as they were just bits and pieces that I had in my scraps box.

Creative Inspirations this week are looking for baby cards or projects so these 2 cards fit the bill there also.

It is another miserable rainy day - can't believe the change in the weather since last week, but hopefully we have some better weather on it's way for the weekend.

I managed to get a hold of a pad of the new De Lovely papers from Cosmo Cricket and I am so in love with these gorgeous summer colours. The image that I have used is a digi image from Tiddly Inks and the flowers are by Prima. Sentiment is also a download and comes from Create with TLC.

I have followed the fabulous sketch at Friday Sketchers, this sure is a great sketch and I will definately be using this one again.

I hope you have fun with this challenge and enjoy using flowers as much as I do.
