Another Baby Card

Here is the baby girl card that I have made using the same image from Digital Delights that I used on a little boy one that I made earlier in the week.

The little bow comes from an accessories set to go with the babies that is also from Digital Delights. I have used up some scrap papers from my scraps box so they are from a few different sets and I have copied the layout from a baby card that I made some time ago to save some time here. The flowers have all be cut using punches.

I am entering this card at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge where they are looking for "Whateva" this week.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I am busy today getting at my DT cards for the week done so that perhaps for the first time in ages I may even get a bit ahead!!

Something a bit different

I have a couple of cards to show you today that are very different from my usual style and not a rubber stamp in sight!! Even the sentiments are rub-ons.

I was hunting through my box of old scraps for some papers for a DT card that I had planned to make today when I found a whole load die cut flowers and other bits and pieces left over from the style of cards that I used to make before I got into rubber stamping and I have had great fun this afternoon trying to recreate the type of cards that I would have made then.

They are much more simple that the cards that I make now, but I think that I really like them and will perhaps make some more like these. I also have a couple that I have also been working on with some die cut teddies on them which I think will turn out really cute and I will hopefully finish them tomorrow morning and will post them some time soon.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Suppose I had better get back to what I was supposed to be doing and get a couple of DT cards done!!

New Baby Boy

I have a card to share with you today that I eventually managed to get finished last night. I started this one around 2 weeks ago and I kept looking at it on my desk but just never managed to get the time to get it finished.

I travel to work on the train every day and one of my "train friends" had a beautiful baby boy on Christmas Day. I got a lovely outfit for the baby when on holiday in California and it is sitting all wrapped up just waiting for the card to be finished to go with it. Just as well that the outfit is a 3-6 month size otherwise he may well have outgrown it by the time I get my act together and get it to him!!

This cute little image is from Digital Delights and these gorgeous new Spring papers are just ideal with it I think. I have also coloured in a little baby girl image and will hopefully get that card finished over the weekend and that one can go into my card box so that I don't get caught out like this again.

I am entering this card into the challenge this week at Allsorts Challenge where they are looking for boy/male cards.

Have a lovely weekend.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 137 - Valentine

Well, no sooner than we are finished with all the Christmas cards we are now started on the Valentine ones and we have the perfect challenge for you this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar as we are looking for all your valentine cards. We also have a great prize on offer this week from our sponsor Whimsy Stamps who are offering the lucky winner 5 digi stamps of their choice.

I have used some of the new Valentine Digi images from CC Designs on my card here and teamed it with some gorgeous papers from a new pad that I managed to pick up at the weekend. Some of them are glittered and they are just beautiful The Love letters were also cut out from a sheet from the same pad.

I have used more of the papers in the inside of the card along with another couple of images and words from CC Designs. The sketch that I have followed is the current one at The Pixie Cottage where the optional theme is valentines day.

Please do pop on over to the challenge blog Here to read more about this week's challenge and see the gorgeous creations from the DT

The papers that I have used are all by Basic Grey. These are not colours that I would normally use, but thanks for my friend Kate who picked them out for me, I am really happy with the result and I will certainly give this colour theme a go again. Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #58 - Button Up

Firstly I must apologise for the lateness of this post. I thought I had scheduled it to appear first thing this morning, but I have just got home to find out that it had still not appeared.

Our new challenge this week at Pixie Dust challenges is button-up and we are looking for you to add a button or buttons to your card or project.

I have used the gorgeous Dolly Do Little from the Toybox collection on my card here today.
The papers are from a Cosmo Cricket pad and the flowers are by prima - I managed to replenish my collection of flowers when in the United States recently (I now have lots and lots even including lots for Christmas this Year!!) and I have added little polka dot buttons for the centres of the flowers. The sketch that I have follwed is the fab one this week at Inspirational Card Sketches - thanks for another great sketch Dawn.

You can see the gorgeous cards by the rest of the DT here and I do hope that you manage to join in the fun with us this week.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 136 - Blue and Green

At last I have managed to get back into my craftroom and make a card and try to get back into the swing of things.

We were due to go on holiday on 17th December to Las vegas, San Francisco and Southern California for my 50th Birthday and also to spend time with my aunt and uncle who live there. We flew into heathrow from Aberdeen on the 17th - arriving 12 hours late due to the snow and then finding ourselves stranded there due to a complete shutdown at Heathrow. To cut a long story short, we ended up spending 6 days there before finally managing to get a flight out on the afternoon of the 24th December. Needless to say, by birthday had long passed (on the 20th) and we had to make all sorts of changes to our plans and we never did make it to San Francisco. Unfotunately my husband still had to fly home on our planned date of 1st January due to work commitments but I managed to extend my stay until 7th January, which was great but of course I am now playing major catch-up both at work and at home.

This card that I have done today is for the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar where the theme is Green and Blue. Ths image is from the new Dino-mite collection at Pixie Dust Studio which was just released last week.

The sketch that I have follwed here is the current one at Friday sketchers.

Please do take some time to pop on over to the challenge blog Here to read all about the challenge this week and also to read mor about the fab prize on offer this week from Bunny Zoe Crafts.

Have a great week
