A Simple card for a change

I have been playing around with my style over the past week and this weekeend I decided that I would try to keep it really simple (not an easy thing for me to do!!)

I have used only 1 piece of DP and 5 flowers that I have cut from scraps left over in my scrap box, 1 blank white card which I have doodled on a bit and the gorgeous Daisy with Balloon stamp which is available in rubber or in digi form Here. I have used the digi version as I wanted her to be a particular size to fit on this card.

I have carried the same paper through to the inside and just added a few of the flowers.

This is certainly a great way of using up all those scraps of DP and I think that the image also stands out really well as it is now the main focus of the card.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this style - I think it works and perhaps it could be even more clean and simple?

Have a great week.

I have used this really cute little image from Bugboo stamps which I have had for ages - I think it may have been one of their freebies at some point. The papers that I have used are all from an Eline's babies pack by Marianne Designs and the flowers are by prima. I have used the current sketch at Papertake Weekly.

It looks like we are set for a good weekend here, so fingers crossed we may get some sunshine.

Have a great weekend.

These are another two cards that I have made with these images and as you can see they could be used for all different types of cards. Sorry, again these are my new papers that I bought and I did not take a note of the pad before I headed off to Spain. I will update this post with the name of the papers when I get home.

We are still on holiday in Spain and we are having gorgeous weather, I just can´t quite believe how bad the weather is back home in Scotland. When I logged on to check my emails this morning, I had a pile of emails from the Scotrail alert system to let me know that there would be all kinds of delays and cancellations to my comuter train yesterday and today. I only hope that it is better by Sunday when we need to travel home (or perhaps we should just stay here for another week or so!! - I wish!!).

I will be back later today with the new challenge over at Squiggle Stamps.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 96 - Bookmark this

Over at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week our own Sonja has challenge us to make a bookmark. We are sponsored this week by Lili of the Valley and you can read all about the gorgeous stamp that they are offering this week's challenge winner Here and perhaps also get a little bit of inspiration from the creations from the DT.

I have wanted to make one of these bookmarks for ages, but just never quite got round to it, so this was a great challenge for me this week. All the papers are by Imaginsce Lucy Bird collection and the Ketto image is one that my dear friend Tracy from Squiggle stamps gave me - thanks Tracy - bet you thought I had forgotten about these - and here is the second one is as many days.

This little bookmark was so easy to make and I think it looks fab - I hope you agree.
