New card with ICS sketch

I had a major panic last night as I suddenly remembered that I had promised to do a card for one of my work colleagues for her daughter's birthday tomorrow. Her daughter is into ballet and she had asked for something dance related and pink!!

I had been playing around with a couple of Ketto images last week when getting a couple of DT projects done and already had coloured in this little cutie. I also still had the new papermania papers still on my desk from a card that I had done at the end of last week and have used this fab sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches this week.

I can't believe it is Monday already and I have a really busy week in front of me. I am away up North wit work tomorrow for a couple of days, at College on Thursday and then finish work on Friday for a week's holiday when we are off to Spain.

Have a great week and I will be back with my Spoon Full of Sugar card tomorrow.

Picked for You

I have been so busy with DT work in the past few weeks that I really have not had the time to enter any challenges just for the fun of it, but last night I managed to get a little time to have a play with one of the new digi images from Squiggle stamps and also found time to have a play around with the sketch below from Dawn at Inspirational Card Sketches. I was on the first DT that Dawn had when she launched this really popular challenge blog and she never lets us down with her brilliant sketches which are always just that little bit stretching.

This cute digi image is from the Fenella and friends range and is called "Picked for You" and is available Here as a digi image. I love to work with Digi stamps as you can size them to the perfect size that you need for your cards and projects, this is especially great if you are planning to use nestabilities. The papers that I have used are from the new Papermania Rose Garden pad as is the die-cut sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

Pixie Dust Studios release and challenge card

Yippee - the day has arrived for the launch of the new "In the Meadow" collection from Pixie Dust Studios and what a fabulous collection this one is as you can see below.

The DT have all been carrying sneek peeks over the past few days and it is well worth a visit to their blogs to see the gorgeous creations that they have made with these images - you can get the links to the Pixie's blogs on my sidebar on the right.

We also have a new challenge up and running at Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge today and this time around we are looking for 3's on your cards - 3 flowers, 3 brads, 3 pieces DP etc.

For my card I have used Miss Peep and Fluffy and the DP is by Papermania. To meet the challenge this week I have used 3 different Designer papers, 3 flowers, 3 brads, 3 leaves and 3 little half pearls. I have followed the current sketch at Friday Sketchers. I am also entering this one at Totally Gorjuss where they are looking for Sweet cards and I cetainly think that this image is really sweet.

I do hope you that you all like these little images as much as I do and I hope you can play along with us in our challenge this week.

We also have some really pretty colours for you to work with this week, nice soft pastel colours which would also work well with all those Easter Cards.

I really love this little Birthday Cake girl image and I think that these papers from Wild Rose Studios were just made to go with this one. I have mixed and matched the papers from 2 of their ranges. I have followed the sketch at Create 4 fun this week.

Pixie Dust Studio -In the Meadow Sneek Peek

Well it is miserable, rainy Saturday morning here, but I have something to hopefully brighten your day. This is another sneek peek from the new collection of stamps that is due to be released over at Pixie Dust Studio on 18th March. This one is called "Love Sparkles!!" and is inspired by Twilight. Now, I am not a Twilight enthusiast - in fact I don't know anything about it (shock, horror!!) and I may not even have got the hair colour correct, but I do love this little image and hope you all do too. The sketch that I followed for this card is the one at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

I will be back with some more peeks from this gorgeous collection over the next few days leading up to the launch and I hope you all have a lovely weekend - especially all you mums out there on Mothering Sunday.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - challenge 33 - no patterned paper

Our new challenge for you today is to create something with a digi stamp as usual but this time around we are challenging you to use no patterned paper at all.

This really was a challenge for me as patterned paper is my passion, but I have to admit that I really am pleased with how clean and simple this card looks. The image is one that I found from a link on Kerry's blog and if you have never checked out her work you are in for a real treat. This little cutie's name is Newton and he would also be perfect for a little girl card. The little brad is one that I have had in my stash for ever and I think that I bought a box of these when on holiday in Florida about 3 years ago. I am also going to enter this card at Cute Card Thursday where they are looking for celebration cards.

Please do pop on over to the blog Hereto see the gorgeous cards that the rest of the DT have made this week and have a wonderful weekend.

Pixie Dust Studio, Pixie Challenge #12 - flowers and buttons

Good morning and here we go with another fabulous challenge from Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge and this week we would like to see your creations that include flower(s)and Button(s) - how right up my street is this!

I have chosen to use this soo cute image from the soon to be released "In the Meadow" collection from Pixie Dust Studio. I know that you will just love this collection and you only have 1 week to wait as it will be released on 18th March. I will have some more preview cards to show over the next week and you can check out the rest of the DT (on my sidebar on the right) to see some gorgeous creations from them with these new images.

I have made a card and a little Easter basket this week. The papers are all from a doodlebug kit as are the sparkly flower stickers, the rest of the flowers I have cut with my retro flower punches. The little spotty buttons are by papermania. I have filled the little basket with some chocolate eggs and I hate to admit it, but they have now all been eaten!!

I am also entering this card in the Cupcake challenge this week where they are looking for lots of flowers, Stamp with Fun where they are looking for Spring things and lastly, the sketch that I have followed is the one this week at papertake weekly

Nutty Nutshells Challenge #11 using Copics Colour Challenge ~55 colours

I have been away with work for a couple of days this week so have taken the opportunity to combine two challenges in one card today. This cheerful Easter card features one of the fabulous new spring digi images from Nutcrafters and this one is called Easter Buddy Bear. The papers that I have used are all from last year's Imaginisce Easter pack.

My first challenge with this card is the new one at Nutty Nutshells Wednesday where we have the following fabulous sketch from Maria at Stampin Inspirations to follow and you can check out the prize on offer this fortnight and also view the gorgeous cards from the rest of the DT Here.

My second challenge is this week's challenge at Copics Colour Challenge where we have the following colours for you to use this week.

These colours are not astricky as they first look. Think shadows and stuff. Remember, if you don't have these exact Copic colours, you can just use something near. Also remember that you can add whatever colours you want to this combo, just like our DT did Here.

So, 2 fabulous challenges with 2 brilliant prizes this week for you to have a go at and remember, just like I have done, you could combine the two with one card!

Have fun.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - recycling

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar Joanne has set the challenge and she has asked us to use something recycled in our cards and projects. I have used a bag that I got some jewelry in at Christmas Time. I have also used some lovely curly ribbon that was attached to another present that I kept as I thought I may want to use it at some time - it was all stapled together and I have taken it apart to use as handles for the bag rather than the black rope ones that were there originally as they were just a bit too heavy looking along with the pastel papers.

The image that I have used is Luna Cupcake Fairy from the Cutie Pie range at Nutshells which you can see Here, the papers are all by Doodlebug and I have cut the flowers from the same papers. Both of the sentiments are also from the Cutie Pie range. I have followed this week's sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Please do check out the Spoon Full blog Here to read all about this week's prize and also to check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT this week.

New Squiggles digi for Sketch Saturday

What a great sketch this week's one is at Sketch Saturday and I have used one of the new digi images from Squiggle Stamps and this one is called Pony Friends. These little digis are fab as you don't need to wait for them to turn up in the post, they are delivered straight to your computer for you to size as you wish and then just print out from your computer - absolutely fabulous if you want to them to fit inside a nestability perfectly. The papers that I have used are from the Old Macdonald's Farm range at Paper Adventures and I have coloured the image with a combination of copic and promarkers.

I am heading off with work this morning for a couple of days, but have already scheduled my Spoon Full of Sugar card for tomorrow and will back later in the week with some more goodies.

Have a great week.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Beads

Our challenge this week has been chosen by our own Shary and she has asked us to use beads somewhere on our projects.

We have been sponsored this week by Di's Digi downloads and Di kindly offered the DT some images to work with this week. You can read all about this weeks's prize Here and also have a look at what the rest of the DT have come up with this week.

This really cute image is one of Di's masterpieces and I had promsied myself that I would make some Christmas cards every month this year so as not have the mad rush in December - needless to say, this is only the second one that I have got done. The DP is by Heidi Grace and I have added some beads to the middle of the snowflakes in line with the challenge. The sketch that I have followed is this week's one at Friday Sketchers.
